Tara Davis-Woodhall Almost Blacked Out When She Lept Into Husband Hunter Arms After Winning Gold 2:

USA has captured another gold in track and field after Tara Davis-Woodhall won the women’s long jump at 7.10 meters.

Davis-Woodhall, rallying the crowd with a “Skol” clap during her jumps, overcame the reigning gold medalist, Germany’s Malaika Mih ambo, along with the rest of the competitors, to clinch her first Olympic medal.

At 25, Davis-Woodhall was a favorite for the event, having secured gold at the 2024 World Indoor Championships in Budapest earlier this year.

She didn’t disappoint, and after her final jump, Davis-Woodhall fell back into the sand and took in the moment. She also ran to her husband, Paralympian Hunter Woodhall, and they shared an emotional embrace after the victory.

“I did not expect to be in Toyko,” Davis-Woodhall told Citius Mag. “I was a college kid out there just jumping for fun.”She continued, “It’s like I can’t believe it, but I can believe it. I’ve worked so hard this season to get right here.

Being undefeated was one of my goals and I told myself, ‘No one’s going to outwork me this year’ and I put something so far out there that no one could touch.”
