The judges scored the bout 80-72, 79-73, and 79-73 in favor of Paul, who showcased his youth and speed against the 58-year-old former heavyweight champion.
Tyson started the opening round aggressively, trying to establish the pace, but Paul swiftly took control with precise, effective punches from afar. Despite his experience and power, Tyson found it challenging to match the younger fighter’s pace, with his activity level waning as the rounds went on.
Although Tyson never appeared to be in serious trouble, Paul’s steady volume and cleaner punches earned him the clear win. The victory marks Paul’s 11th professional win in 12 bouts, improving his record to 11-1, with 7 KOs. The 27-year-old YouTuber-turned-boxer had won three consecutive fights since his sole career loss to Tommy Fury in February 2023.
For Tyson, the bout marked his first sanctioned fight since 2005. Tyson, a former heavyweight champion with a record of 50-7, had previously competed in an exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr. in 2020. His last official boxing match was in June 2005, when he suffered a TKO loss to Kevin McBride after quitting on his stool in the seventh round.
