Host nation France begins the Paris Games with a resounding 3-0 win over the USA, who made their Olympic return after 16 years.
Lacazette scored the opening goal in the 61st minute before Olise doubled the lead within eight minutes. Bade then sealed the victory with a header in the 85th minute.
France looked dangerous in the closing minutes of the first half and converted their chances in the second half to take three points from their first match in Marseille.
The USA, on the other hand, got off to a good start but couldn’t contain the attacking prowess of the French, who are coached by the legendary Thierry Henry.
